Avillion is the Order of Equilibrium, and Equilibrium must be maintained.
The order is dedicated to the study and protection of the enigmatic and mysterious, Artefacts, Creatures or Beings of extrodinary capacity. The Order ushers forth an era of coexistence with the enigmatic.

We have a Discord where we share our interests and coordinate all our events, activities and more! We host a venue "The Artifact Tavern" every Thursday to keep the stew warm! The Roleplay

The Order
Avillion, The Order of Equilibrium, is dedicated to the study, protection, and coexistence with enigmatic artifacts, creatures, and beings of extraordinary capacity. Our mission is simple: to preserve balance and foster understanding where others fear to tread.

The Artefact
An ancient sentient artifact, known as Gaiana's Heartstone, was discovered by The Patchwork Xaela, Adler Autumnwind. The artifact would proclaim it's Chosen and imbue them with the power to use its rich aether and commune with other Chosen at will.It was learned that Gaiana's Heartstone was but one piece of a once whole Major Relic from the Fifth Astral era. Believed to be three fragments: Luminara’s Crest, Solstice’s Shard, and Gaiana’s Heartstone. Today, only the Heartstone’s whereabouts are certain, safeguarded under the watchful eyes of Avillion.

The Work
The Grand Companies often relay to Avillion as a special contracted task force with bounties and duties that delve into enigmatic. Where there is the unknown, the Order of Equilibrium is there to serve. Equilibrium must be maintained.

The Factions: The Order of Equilibrium is comprised of four sections. The Cascade, The Enigma, The Accord and The Sentinel, each with a diverse purpose and place in the Order. Each is responsible for specializing in certain fields of study and practice to deploy the best equipped to any given situation that may call to them.

THE ARTEFACT; Gaiana's Heartstone

"Behold, the sunne and moone in celestial embrace. Let us find balance within ourselves. From the union of discordant forces, harmony does emerge. The scale tips not towards one, but finds balance in all, bringing solace to a realm of chaos.."

Gaiana’s Heartstone is a fragment of an unknown Major Relic, believed to be associated somehow to Nymeia, of the Twelve. Ancient depictions within a resurfaced temple of Nym had revealed a once whole relic being used sometime during, potentially, the sixth Umbral Era, around 1,500 years ago. The depictions were unclear of its use and the archaeologist that had made the discovery has since passed. Further depictions noted that the Major Relic had descended from the stars even further before the sixth Umbral Era. No information is known beyond this.

"Once upon a somber morning, stood I upon a black shore. Upon mine hands didst I witness the wither of ash fall to that dark water. The end hath rendered mine mortal coil due and with a fragile step, I embraced the black death..Upon this sea I lay my fraying flesh, I thought. Yet, in sudden splendor, felt the suffocation of death's grip wane upon me. A restoration of vigor coursed within mine veins and softest breaths met cracked lips. The ash didst cease, halted was my decay.Perished, had I? Thought so, I had. Yet this was not so. Mine steps in black water graced upon me an enigmatic artifact. Such manifestation of fertile aether stole me of end's reign. Such vitality, from whence I hath held none more, drew breath within me a dire purpose. Upon my name, I pledged mine self to a singular fate of olde. A seeker of balance in all things true.To hold the gift of essence dew upon mine hands... What right have I? None, yet this must needs be so… For those in need of sanctuary."

An ancient series of tomes embedded in a wall reveals the lost history of a war during The Sixth Umbral Calamity. The Enigmatic Artifact was depicted to be used in some fashion, but was later fragmented into three pieces.

Rebecca "Adler" Autumnwind discovers a strange artifact in the region of Limsa Lominsa. An archeologist "Th'essa Nunh" investigates an ancient abandoned Nym temple. Avillion; Heir to Evil \| November 2023
The Puppeteer Ashmaker Dr. Wrathsmon has information which may reveal more of the artifact's enigmatic existence. An insurgency group is sent to an secret underground Vicengaol refinery to uncover the horrors of his experiments and capture him. In their desperate search, they stumble upon the Hagridden, a monstrous entity created from the wife of Gael. Upon its defeat, Dr Wrathsmon is captured and he is questioned about the device. He denotes that Veenine is the Heir to Evil and should be destroyed.

A woman by the name of Rowan Sharpe arrives to Avillion as a sole survivor of a great tragedy, guided there by the Clades Umbra. It is revealed to the Order that the Shards that dwell within the Shardforged are remnants of a Sister Artifact to Gaiana's Heartstone.

The musings of the Wilted Rose begin to utter once more, yet their words come as a word of warning of a coming evil. The Crucible and their hunt for those known as The Shardforged. A woman by the name of Rowan Sharpe arrives to Avillion as a sole survivor of a great tragedy, guided there by the Clades Umbra. It is revealed to the Order that the Shards that dwell within the Shardforged are remnants of a Sister Artifact to Gaiana's Heartstone.

Post Length Try to match your posting length to the number of other people present in the venue. While detail is appreciated and encouraged, multi-paragraph posting (3+ messages) can be overwhelming for the casual environment.

Excplit Content Unsolicited, too-familiar, or excessive sex-pesting, e.g. “compliments,” jokes, inappropriate emojis, etc. makes everyone uncomfortable. Be aware of your company and their boundaries. Activity

Roleplay This is a roleplay community first. While we do encourage PvE and participate in PvP content, these do not take precedent over the roleplay. Events are scheduled and planned ahead of time to allow for the best experience.

Participation We hope that players will feel free to host and to hop into stated open invitation scenes and events. OOC permission should be obtained prior to posting in for other scenes. Some scenes are plot device specific, personal, and/or everyone has the right to decline roleplay they aren't interested in.

Inactivity ㅤWhile we don't have an activity requirement in the sense that members must participate in X number of roleplay scenes or events in a given period of time, we do want to keep our community neat and active; players without activity may be dismissed after 182 days.

Voice Try not to interrupt, speak over, or otherwise dominate conversation in voice channels; give everyone a chance to be heard.

ㅤReal World Issues Try to avoid real-world social, political, and religious discourse as well as other non-gaming-related topics that are stressful to many and can make shared spaces unpleasant. Being offensive with the intent to demean, shock, or upset others is uncool. Being quick to take offense instead of considering context and creating opportunities for understanding, education, and connection is equally uncool.

Serious Topics Due to the semi-public nature of our Discord server and CWLS, they aren't safe outlets for for serious personal troubles. Please seek out real support in private.

Be Chill We reserve the right to remove players who engage in dishonesty, hostility, maliciousness, bad faith conversations, failure to set or respect boundaries, witch hunting, stirring up old conflicts, poor emotional self-regulation, and other bad habits from our spaces at our discretion.

Roleplay

Roleplay Etiquetteㅤ Please use the /roleplaying tag, /emote for action, and "quotation marks" for Common speech while roleplaying with us in game. "<Brackets>" and appropriate narration should be used to indicate non-Common speech.

Immersion Please try to keep an immersive environment. Mods synced through Mare should not be disruptive (loud, visually jarring. No spammed emotes or sounds). Keep general OOC chatter low to avoid breaking the flow of RP.

Respect Is an Expectation Every character present is a person behind-the-screen. While all interactions taken ICly should be truthful behaviour to your character's personality, keep in mind that brash disrespect of others in any way will result in consequences such as removal from the premises, or blacklisting in extreme cases. Applicable both IC and OOC.

Consent is Key The comfort levels of all people present can never be fully accounted for in public spaces. As such, do not broach any themes which others may find sensitive or disturbing. This ranges from sexually explicit topics to potentially distressing ones such as: self-harm, abuse, SA, etc.

META-LAME-INGㅤ Metagaming, defined as having a character act on knowledge that the player has access to but the character should not, is a real killjoy and not welcome in our scenes; situations determined to be metagaming by our Organizers will be altered with plausibility in mind or retconned entirely.

Mare/Glamourerㅤ Characters should be recognizable as themselves both vanilla and while moongazing in our community so that all players are able to have a similar experience of them.
